STM-1 I2C Serial Trigger Module

Engineers involved in designing high speed electronic and embedded system use Inter IC Bus. To test and debug the I2C bus, engineers need to capture I2C data stream based on I2C message Content. Now STM-1 serial trigger module along with Tektronix high performance windows based oscilloscope can capture the data at specific condition I2C bus is normally tested using general purpose oscilloscopes. Some of these oscilloscopes support basic trigger capabilities. However high bandwidth oscilloscopes with greater than 3.5GHz bandwidth don’t support I2C trigger Capabilities.

STM-1 I2C Serial Trigger Module now offers industry best I2C trigger capabilities. Using STM-1 users can set basic and advanced I2C trigger conditions in DPO7000, DPO70000/DSA70000 series oscilloscopes. Using STM-1 and DPO7000, DPO/DSA7000 series oscilloscopes users can Captures DDC bus in HDMI, Aux bus in Display port.

Integrated Test Setup:

STM-1 Serial Trigger Module can be interfaced to an oscilloscope using USB interface. This USB interface also provides power to STM-1. Trigger control software that runs in oscilloscopes allows user to set basic and advanced trigger conditions using easy to use UI. Trigger out signal from STM-1 can be used to trigger an oscilloscope enabling user capture the signals based on the content of I2C message content.
